Info:
Swimming is offered on Sunday's October-December. The maximum class size is 45 scouts. Swimming consists of 6 classes (5 Pool & 1 Lecture Class)!

We give each scout their blue card back at the last class.

Suggestions:
Any scout can sign up for Swimming but should be able to pass the boy scout swimmers test (Jump feetfirst into water over the head in depth. Level off and swim 75 yards in a strong manner using one or more of the following strokes: front crawl, sidestroke, or breaststroke; then swim 25 yards using an easy resting backstroke. The 100 yards must be completed in one swim without stops and must include at least one sharp turn. After completing the swim, rest by floating).

Some of the more difficult requirements for swimming are...
-Swim continuously for 150 yards using the following strokes in good form and in a strong manner: front crawl for 25 yards, back crawl for 25 yards, sidestroke for 25 yards, breaststroke for 25 yards, and elementary backstroke for 50 yards.
-In water over your head use the feetfirst method of surface dive and headfirst surface dive (pike or tuck) bring an object up from the bottom. (8 feet)
