Troop 16 was founded in 1920 at St. John's Church in Canton and moved to St. Joseph's in 1924. It has been in continuous service to date. Troop 16 has seen over 180 of its scouts achieve the rank of Eagle, scoutings highest. Many of the troop’s present leaders and committee men are themselves former scouts of the troop. Troop 16 meets every Tuesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the St. Josephs Church hall.
